A BINGO breakfast with ROV & honey launch
As we inch closer to the full launch of our honey, I’ve been feeling a quiet kind of joy. Like the calm before something tender and meaningful begins. There’s been a lot of anticipation, of course, but more than anything, a desire to honour the beginnings of ROV gently and with care. This past weekend, we shared a small but heartfelt celebration with our dear friends at BINGO. It felt only right to start with breakfast. Something slow, familiar, and comforting. Together, we created a short weekend offering from Nov 9 to 10, where ROV honey found its place in a trio of beautiful breakfast bakes.
There was French toast with a soft drizzle of honey, granola spiced just enough to hold the honey’s light, floral sweetness, and delicate palmiers brushed golden and crisp. Each plate carried a bit of the landscape where our honey comes from, both in flavor and feeling. The tables were dressed with small nods to the bee farm. Earthy textures, scattered wildflowers, and a kind of quiet warmth that reminded me of early mornings there. As a small gesture, we tucked a fresh lemon into each order. A little zing to go with the sweetness.
That morning, we welcomed friends, family, and a few furry companions into BINGO’s cozy corner. It was slow and easy. Full of shared plates, soft conversation, and the kind of contentment that comes when you’re surrounded by people who understand why something matters to you.
There’s still more to come. But I’ll hold onto this morning for a long while. It felt like a good beginning.
